On behalf of LIEWOOD, we are currently looking for an experienced and ambitious Category Manager to develop the overall strategy for one or more product categories, as well as develop new product options and commercial initiatives in the categories to drive sales and achieve targets. The position

As LIEWOOD’s new Category Manager, one of your main responsibilities is to develop the overall product strategy for one or two of LIEWOODS categories in collaboration with the management team and other stakeholders. You will own the full value chain for your categories and will oversee the entire customer journey. Hereto you acknowledge the necessity to think outside the box and to stay ahead of the competition when coming up with new product options and commercial initiatives.

You possess a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact the business and can execute at both tactical and strategic levels to achieve long-term growth. You strive to have extended knowledge and understanding of different customer needs and habits and know how to reach them efficiently in marketing and commercial plans. LIEWOOD’s Category Manager will be reporting directly to CEO and Creative Director, Anne Marie Lie Norvig.

Your area of key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze marketing and customer data and monitor relevant market conditions to provide category insights and proposals and determine industry and consumer trends

  • Work closely with the design and sales team to determine optimal pricing through analysis of sales trends, competitors, buying habits, and planograms of products to promote sales opportunities

  • Maintain and ensure optimized PIM within categories

  • Provide inputs to increase efficiency in marketing material

  • Follow-up on product performance after launch and initiate actions accordingly

  • Coordinate with the operations/purchase department to ensure product availability and provide

    inputs to demand planning

  • Responsibility for budget development and revenue for the category

 

Your profile

For this role, you preferably hold a master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or another related field. In addition, you hold at least four years of experience from a similar position and come with extensive experience in understanding consumer needs as well as the industry. You possess solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles. You understand data analysis and forecasting methods and have hands-on experience with such. You have an analytical mindset with a strategic ability and are commercially oriented.

You are a natural team player with excellent communication skills in both English and Danish. As a person, you hold the ability to see the bigger picture, both in your work tasks, but also regarding your position in a team. You can prioritize what will be most beneficial for all. Moreover, you are open-minded, happy, and get along easily with other people at your workplace where you always strive to spread good energy around you.
