Country Head for Allente
On behalf of Allente, we are looking for a commercially driven Country Head that is motivated to take part in the upscaling of a large television distributor in the Nordics. As Country Head, you will put your extensive know-how of Sales, Marketing, and Organizational Leadership to use and, therefore, play a key part in the realization of Allente’s corporate mission; to unite people through quality entertainment.
About Allente
Established on May 5th, 2020, Allente is a Nordic television distributor that provides high-quality TV solutions via satellite and IPTV as well as streaming to over 1 million customers across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. The company is a merger of Canal Digital and Viasat Consumer and is owned 50/50 by Telenor Group and Viaplay Group (formerly known as NENT Group) with headquarters being in both Oslo and Stockholm. Currently, the company’s workforce is totaling 270 employees, having allocated 40 of them to its Copenhagen office.
The position
As Country Head, you will oversee the Copenhagen office with direct reference to 15+ people. Here, you will establish and lead the commercial direction of the company as well as ensuring best in class execution on core business operations, ranging from CX, Customer Service, Finance, Marketing, and Sales. Specifically, the Head of Sales, Head of CX, and Head of CS will be reporting directly to you, whereas the Head of Marketing, Head of Finance, and Head of People will be an indirect reference. In addition, you will have P&L responsibility; therefore, you will manage the Danish market financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Stakeholder Management will also be a critical aspect of your job, as Allente is managing a large network of stakeholders across its Nordic setup.
As Country Head for the Danish market, you are to deliver on commercial and financial ambitions which include:
- Keeping a motivated and engaged team, beyond merely direct reports, responsibility reached for the entire Danish location
- Accurately report and invite for discussion with Nordic central team regarding business and financial performance in Denmark
- Together with your team, ensure alignment with Nordic strategy, whilst making the right priorities for the Danish market
- Defining the Danish sales strategies and sales initiatives – and ensuring that these are executed
Additionally, you will:
- Have personnel responsibility for the commercial team
- Own and follow up on operational KPIs
- Ensure cross Nordic alignment
- Build and maintain a strong culture in the Danish office
- Monitor the Danish media market, both the competitive landscape as well as the regulatory market
- Execution of the overall company strategy
You will be reporting to the CCO, Mahmoud Mustapha.
Your profile
To be successful in the role, you hold a master’s degree within a relevant educational field such as business administration, marketing, finance, or similar, and has extensive experience within senior management and/or commercialization on managerial level.
The ideal candidate finds a good and efficient working methodology that ensures deliveries in accordance with quality and time requirements and can collaborate well with others through the sharing of knowledge, experience, and information. Moreover, as Country Head, it is expected that you are a talented communicator, meaning you can convey your message in a clear, precise, and structured manner as well as speaking with authority and conviction. As Allente heavily relies on communication across the Nordic countries, it is expected that you have great lingual capabilities.
Additionally, it is of great importance that you understand pan-Nordic organizational formal and informal structures and uses this knowledge to develop and make progress. You have a considerable business and market understanding, an ability to understand customer needs, can deliver solutions that meet those needs, and are able to identify new ways of undertaking core business operations. It is also considered an advantage if you are analytical and possess a data-driven approach to decision making. Lastly, you develop people through delegation, accountability, and guidance, promote career and self-development, and you are a persuasive leader; meaning you are influential on ideas and plans. In such manner, you are accessible in your way of management, as you listen and understand what matters to people.
