Director, Head of Commercial Management & Business Development for TDC NET

We are looking for a new Head of Commercial Management & Business Development with a commercial impact and an ambitious mindset to be part of an exciting transformation within one of Denmark’s strongest brands. You will be responsible for the overall commercial strategy across all business areas and, besides that, lead a team consisting of commercial managers and pricing specialists. In this position, you will join TDC NET’s Headquarter at Teglholmsgade in Copenhagen.

TDC NET contributes to the digitalization of Denmark and aims to deliver the best mobile network and fixed connections. TDC NET focuses on designing, building, and running the digital infrastructure of the future, opening its network for everyone in Denmark (including third-party players such as Nuuday, Telenor, FastSpeed, etc.) so their customers can enjoy access to high-speed connections. TDC NET wants to be the preferred partner for delivering highly qualified, technical support to all customers. It is the aspiration to modernize and prepare TDC NET to strengthen as a carrier-grade operator by minimizing the risk of outages and thereby increasing customer satisfaction and improving the customer experience.

TDC NET became a reality when TDC was taken over by a Consortium (ATP, PFA, PKA, and Macquarie) in May 2018 with the ambition to split the integrated telco into two independent companies, i.e., an infrastructure-focused company, TDC NET, and an end-user content focused company, Nuuday. The long- term focus of the owners is TDC NET, where most of the combined value creation will happen by focusing on high investment into long-term stable infrastructure assets.

TDC NET is operating as an independent company with its own purpose, strategy, leadership team, and plans for the years to come. The position

As Head of Commercial Management & Business Development, you will have the overall commercial strategy responsibility across all business areas at TDC NET and execute on it. Furthermore, managing the commercial product portfolio, optimizing pricing, and developing go-to-market strategy. The key focus will be to envision the future TDC NET commercial profile to optimize TDC NET's current commercial position as well as be the frontrunner in the development of new business areas.

In addition, you will drive the overall commercial fiber roll-out strategy in close collaboration with Business Management. A strong commercial drive is required to enable sales through developing and delivering a competitive go-to-market strategy. Lastly, strong motivation and ability to influence and lead a team of 7 people consisting of Commercial Managers and pricing specialists is crucial.

The area of responsibility will include tasks such as:

  • Drive commercial project management through your team

  • Develop commercial strategy across business areas

  • Optimize pricing and associated commercial offering

  • Enable and increase sales through developing go-to-market strategies and tools

  • Engage in activation and migration campaigns to maximize sales potential

  • Work with and lead a team of 7 consisting of commercial managers and pricing specialists

  • Optimistically and courageously drive through new projects and opportunities

 

Your profile

The ideal candidate has experience within leadership and team lead roles and is striving for a position to grow within and is in general motivated by challenges. You are able to take action and give direction and have previous experience in driving a commercial development.
Additionally, you are a strategic thinker and are not afraid of executing agendas aligned with the leadership team. You have a strong competitive mindset as you will be responsible of positioning new and old products in the Danish market. Moreover, you are organised and can plan long-term for future generation products and activities. Lastly, you are fluent in both written and spoken Danish and English.

As a person you have a strong business acumen, a structured approach, a problem-solving mindset, and strong communication skills. At the same time, you are a critical, creative, and innovative thinker, who gladly takes on leading a team which includes responsibility in decision making. You see yourself as a brave and flexible person, who comes with the ability to collaborate well and communicate clearly.
