Head of Sales for Infomedia

Infomedia is looking for an experienced, driven and motivating Head of Sales to take responsibility for the company’s sales efforts and growing team in the Swedish market and simultaneously strengthen Infomedia’s market share and position as market leader in media monitoring and media analysis.

The headquarter is located in Copenhagen with 150 employees, but they have offices in Oslo and Stockholm as well as a production team in Chennai, India and a shared service center for production and customer service in Tallin. Infomedia is a global player in the media monitoring space, providing relevant business critical media insights to more than 125,000 customers worldwide with more than 2 million daily users.

Infomedia’s Stockholm office is expanding rapidly. They are therefore looking for a Head of Sales who will step into an ambitious and welcoming culture, and is ready to become a part of Infomedia’s journey and make an effort to contribute to the company’s continued ambitious growth.

The position
Infomedia need a confident, energetic and optimistic Head of Sales with a strong track record of delivering results, to help them unleash their potential in the Swedish market and make both the business and the team grow. In this role, you will be responsible for a team – which is currently growing – of five and will be reporting to Swedish Country Manager, Joakim Veen Huis. The position requires a candidate that has a good understanding of the general development in the media landscape as well as keen interest and hunger to follow and use new media and platforms, so that you as Head of Sales can provide competent advice and sparring with your team and to your clients. You will primarily be measured on your ability to meet the company’s revenue targets and profitability targets as well as general customer- and employee satisfaction. The new Head of Sales will have a place in the Swedish Management team and be a part of the Nordic Sales Manager forum.

It is expected that the Head of Sales will contribute with the following:

  • Daily management as well as motivation and development of the sales team
  • Drive a strategic but also tactical sales approach with the sales through follow-up on customer plans
  • Lead and drive business reviews
  • Drive and follow up on sales targets, budgets and sales performance
  • Streamline processes between sales and presale / customer service
  • Transform concepts from the analysis and consulting team into pipelines and sales
  • Conducting people development interviews, salary talks, professional and personal development, etc.
  • Continuous competence development of salespeople through the right coaching
  • Sales reporting
  • Management of own customer portfolio
  • Act as a sparring partner on sales performance

Your profile
The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree within commercial studies, preferably with some financial qualifications or training. You have minimum 5 years of experience within sales and leadership and can present clear results to substantiate it. Further, you have deep experience in generating strong revenue results and in leveraging a value sales approach within a B2B setting. A background within software sales, and experience from either similar companies, analysis or business intelligence companies is seen as a huge plus. We expect that the future Head of Sales possesses a “leading by example” approach to leadership, is strategic in its efforts yet has the ability and passion to be operational and hands-on. Furthermore, we see you as a fiery soul who is passionate about motivating your team.

As a leader you must know how to prioritize – not only in your own line of work but also regarding your team, and you must therefore be a good mix between a leader with great overview and a leader with a distinct sense of detail. In addition, you must be a skilled negotiator and a clear finisher who can ensure that initiated initiatives are pushed across the finish line.

On a personal level we prefer that you have a strong passion for communications and media intelligence along with knowledge in sales of data-based counselling, analysis and insights. You’re to lead a sales team, so we expect you to have a pronounced drive and high ambitions to create results beyond the usual. Likewise, we expect you to be a distinct communicator, able to retain the recipient even in tough negotiations. Empathy and a pronounced sense of putting yourself in the place of others - including customers, colleagues or partners, is also a must in a profile for this position.
