People Business Partner

On behalf of Muuto, we are looking for an experienced and determined People Business Partner that can deliver on company strategy by building, retaining, and developing world-class talent. You will serve as a mentor and coach for employees and the management team and a trusted advisor for leaders, providing support and cooperation on both HR and business matters.

About the position

Muuto is agile, creative, and collaborative with team members working around the world. The People Business Partner will play an important role in building and fostering growth and high-performance culture across diverse employee populations. Your role will be to act as a consultant and business partner to the employees and management team at Muuto by balancing unique needs and business objectives and providing advice and counsel in support of those objectives.

A central responsibility consists of partnering with managers and leaders on recruitment processes and ensuring cost-effective and timely sourcing of talent. You will be the lead in ensuring an effective and consistent onboarding process and will work closely with the leadership team on succession planning for key roles.

The role also entails working with the leadership team to ensure high levels of employee engagement and increased employee retention. This includes ownership and process management of the employee development system (MUS) and supporting the development and team-building activities. Furthermore, you will play a key role in change management projects ensuring successful communication and planning around employees.

Additionally, the People Business Partner is responsible for partnering closely with the rest of the global HR team to support cross-group initiatives and leverage specialist functions as appropriate. Here, the needs and interests of Muuto must be recognized in key HR projects and implementations – for example in the global HRIS system.

Furthermore, the role provides counsel and guidance to management on complex employee relations issues, independently conducts investigations, and ensures compliance with company policies and applicable laws. A central responsibility also includes working closely with the finance team and payroll manager to communicate any changes to employee compensation and ensure full local compliance.

Your profile

The ideal candidate comes with a relevant academic educational background within HR or a related field, and at least five years of senior HR experience preferably from a pan-European fast-paced commercial environment. You have a proven track record of positive interaction and established credibility with senior management and can combine strong persuasion and negotiation skills with an approachable work style.

It is imperative that you have demonstrated expertise in some or all of the following areas: change and performance management, talent development, talent acquisition and retention, compensation and employee/labor relations, and the HR-related statutory and regulatory environment. In addition to these areas, you can analyze complex situations and related data to determine appropriate actions. It is also essential that you have gained demonstrated abilities in coaching and mentoring at both management and employee level.

You have the ability to work independently and take ownership as well as working as part of a broader global team, understanding how to align wider business goals to HR matters. You have high levels of positivity, energy and drive and thrive being part of a successful and growing business. Your strong business acumen enables you to be able to manage a wide array of responsibilities and stakeholders successfully.

As a person, you act as a highly effective negotiator with strong persuasion abilities and customer service skills while exhibiting an approachable work style, working exceptionally well with and respecting individuals at all levels of the organization. Additionally, you possess strong interpersonal and communicative skills which, in combination with your intellectual curiosity, makes you a robust, natural, and empathic leader.
