Performance Marketing Specialist

On behalf of Awaze (You might know one of their brands Novasol), we are looking for a numbers-focused marketer, which can gain more responsibility fast as Awaze is on a large growth journey in a growing summerhouse rental market. You come with passion to develop performance, can build and optimize the setup and increace the quality and collaborate with the agency. We’re looking for someone who thrives on change to enhance the already impressive number of guests they send on holiday every year. This role will be based in the office in Virum, north of Copenhagen, but is flexible with working from home. You will have responsibility for the Danish market, and expand to international markets and brands quickly, as they currently invest in growing their Performance Marketing team in DK.

The position 

As a Performance Marketing Manager/Specialist, you will have responsibility for performance marketing across globally, but not limited to, cottages.com, Hoseasons and Novasol brands with large budgets. You will start with optimising the Danish market and expand your responsibility quickly, when the basics are in place. You will manage an agency and collaborate with a team in DK and UK. They are flexible and open to more levels of seniority and responsibily in the role, as you will potentially be part of an expandation of the performance force in Cph, where you will be joining a marketing team in Cph.

You will report to and collaborate with the European Director of Performance Marketing sitting in UK, Richard Banks, and Performance Marketing Lead, Hannah Perry, who are constantly looking for new and innovative ideas. All in all, you’ll work with a team to cover 15 points of sale, so this is no small feat. You’ll work with a large budget, as part of a sizeable team across multiple global locations, so the ability to adapt your style and working with team members remotely is key. Data drives their decision making, so you’ll need to be comfortable breaking down channels and campaigns into what’s driving performance as well as building business cases and hypotheses to test and learn into new areas.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support and develop the strategy on both a medium- and long-term basis for all things performance globally.
  • You’ll be a key part of the team that manages the day-to-day performance and optimization across channels and running an agency - herunder paid search, online display, video and paid social campaigns.
  • Optimize the whole performance setup on danish and global brands, and expand the danish team further. 
  • You will also own a number of local relationships with platforms and partners, such as Google, Facebook and the digital agencies, so you’ll need to balance day to day implementation with relationship management.
  • Report on performance and trends, and highlight opportunities and risks, with a view to mitigating any potential pitfalls and staying ahead of the competitors.
  • Breaking down channels and campaigns into what’s driving performance as well as building business cases and hypotheses to test and learn into new areas.
  • Champion a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, building a culture of innovation as your team is always on the lookout for the “next big thing” when it comes to media channels.

 

Your profile

The ideal candidate has demonstrable experience of 3-8 years in a similar role, either client side or agency, where you’ve got a track record of delivering successful digital acquisition campaign strategies. You’ve got experience of working across multiple markets and you’ll have had experience of managing large budgets. Furthermore, you are an expert on The Google ecosystem, in particular Google Analytics and related tools and have a strong understanding of attribution models and the inter-relationship between digital channels. You’re comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and needs across different locations and you are numbers focused and passionate about data. 

As our Performance Marketing Manager/Specialist, you’ll help to champion a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, building a culture of innovation where your team are always on the lookout for the “next big thing” when it comes to media channels which will drive acquisition. Equally as important as all the technical “stuff”, we’re looking for someone who is hungry to learn, irrespective of their seniority. We don’t believe in standing still (we work in travel, after all), but instead think that everyone should be learning, all the time.
