On behalf of Better Energy, we are currently looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist with amazing people and communication skills. There is now a unique opportunity for you to join an international renewable energy company where you will make an impact that matters by hiring compassionate thought leaders. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth company with a unique business model in a workplace where you can truly make a difference.

About Better Energy

Better Energy was founded with the purpose of accelerating the transition to renewable energy sources with better solutions and mass quantities of affordable clean energy. They are an international renewable energy company specialising in creating new green energy. They are determined to drive change and help companies, cities and countries choose green energy in a way that brings new renewables online in an efficient and safe manner. They design, develop, engineer, finance, build, operate, and own renewable power plants in Denmark, Poland, Finland and Sweden.

The position

You will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting passionate and talented employees to Better Energy and thereby create great value to the business. You will work closely together with the People team to coordinate and prioritise recruitments in the team, as it is a team effort to bring in so many new colleagues to the company. It is important that you enjoy and take pride in offering great business support to hiring managers and other colleagues and candidates during a busy workday.

You will handle most recruitments on your own together with hiring managers, but for some positions, you will only deliver part of the recruitment process such as search and/or screening. Most recruitments will be to Better Energy’s offices in Denmark, but international recruitments to their international locations will also be part of your recruitment scope.

The organisation is characterised by easy and quick ways of communication, giving you a basis for influencing how you solve your tasks to the best of your abilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Full recruitment cycle, from sourcing to contract closure
  • Recruit highly skilled and compassionate employees
  • Provide searches to hiring managers to give an overview of the potential talent pool
  • Cultivate a culture of diversity and inclusive hiring
  • Represent the BE culture to all candidates and ensure they have a great hiring experience, whether successful or not
  • Optimise our recruitment workflows and processes
  • Use recruitment tests for interviews
  • Screen applicants for open positions and unsolicited applications
  • Ensure an optimal flow from Employer Branding to recruitment and from recruitment to contract/pre-boarding
  • Write and/or optimise job ads
  • Support with various ad-hoc tasks including collaboration with other departments in the organization

Better Energy are currently 250+ employees across 23+ different nationalities and counting, and as Senior TA Specialists, youy will join their Talent Attraction team at their office in Sønderborg.

Your profile

You may have an educational background in HR(M), psychology, or communication, but much more important is your passion for people, company culture and the green transition. You are expected to bring +4 years of experience from a search company and/or a similar role as in-house recruiter/searcher. You are also comfortable in all recruitment phases, including sourcing/search, assessment, networking, interviewing, negotiation, etc. You’ve got an eye for talent and must not only be a search whizz but also enjoy the research process.

Additionally, it is important that you possess the following competencies:

  • Solid experience with recruitment
  • A recent track record of searching and hiring hard-to-find roles
  • Experience in developing unique sourcing strategies, including social networking and direct sourcing
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and IT in general including experience with HR systems
  • Ability to operate and navigate between many ongoing activities simultaneously
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Danish and English at negotiation level (spoken and written)

It goes without saying that you must have excellent people and communication skills. Your work style is thorough and self-driven, though collaborative. You value and contribute to great teamwork by delivering high-quality standards. Additionally, you face new tasks with a positive mindset, and you are not afraid to act, even in unknown territory, knowing that you have a great team to support you when facing difficult tasks.
