As a Senior UX Designer, you will play an essential role in our new and rapidly growing Experience and Technology department, joining a small, yet highly skilled team in an exciting journey toward future growth. In this position, you will support our business entities by applying your skills in design thinking and product development, and consequently, helping us raising the bar and deliver outstanding and best-in-class experiences. In this case, novel design is not enough – we are seeking a candidate who is able to develop purposeful and high-tech products, taking UX experiences to new heights.
In this role, you will work within strategic experience areas and from an early stage identify the most vital focus areas of investigation, bridging businesses, tech and users. You will examine the overarching, but also the underlying pleas to build and integrate user insights into uniquely targeted and consumer-biased solutions that satisfies human needs. This involves participating in planning and facilitating processes as well as translating data into new insights and concepts, presenting your ideas to a broad range of stakeholders. As a Senior UX Designer, you will have the opportunity to influence the organization by applying your skills, knowledge and understandings of UX design. Subsequently, you will be a part of a contemporary journey that not only improves the daily life of individuals, but also set new standards in an international scope.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Close interaction with relevant Global Product Management (GPM) and R&D discipline representatives by gather and report information and knowledge about users/customers behaviours and needs
- Plan and execute research in cooperation with other relevant stakeholders, such as frontend-, platform- and concept- as well as marketing teams
- Identify, gain and convey in-depth knowledge of core users within a business domain
- Identify and breakdown user journey and sub-journeys
- Testing at story board and wire frame level crossing headsets, mobile app, PC application and cloud services, ultimately translate data into new concepts
- Experience design across several delivery platforms and products
- Translate knowledge into targeted and user-centric design, solutions and experiences including interaction design.
- Process facilitation
- Ensure flows of knowledge and continuous innovation into UX department
As the ideal candidate, we expect you to be fluent in English, possess 10-15 years of experience from a similar role, preferably from both bureaus and larger international firms. You are a passionate designer, who thrives from taking ownership and is not afraid of making your voice heard. Yet, you have a humble approach, both feet on the ground and enjoy collaborating and interacting in a team of others. As of joining a promising organization in an early stage – you are ready to test your hypothesis and run ideas in a new environment with some degree of expected uncertainty. Rather, you enjoy the steep learning curve and responsibilities that are about to be taken. Your technical toolbox consists of being able to transform data and qualitive insight into user-centric experiences, designs and solutions that fulfil practicability, aptness and feasibility. Being familiar with Jama, Jira and Figma is not a prerequisite, but a large plus. Overall, you have solid experience with user experience design and preferably with consumer electronics. Thus, you are able to set future visions, deliver experiences that both inspire and aligns with the future aspirations of our customers.
Likewise, your soft skills are by equal importance. We are looking for a candidate with excellent interpersonal capabilities – a true team player who is service minded and possesses great listening and communication skills. As a designer, you are creative, daring and hands-on when crafting and presenting your ideas. Alongside grit and determination, you are optimistic, solution-orientated and turn challenges into opportunities. As of working across multi-disciplinary teams, you are able to collaborate with all stakeholders involved, yet take decisions and provide results. Thus, it is crucial to have attention to details, but also an eye on the bigger picture. Moreover, you thrive in a high-paced and everchanging environment, where time management is key and unforeseen events occur on a daily basis. Taken together, you possess a genuine interest in both market and human behaviour, combined with artistic skills and business logic understanding.
You will report directly to Kirstine Fristed Lacoppidan, Manager of UX Service & Experience Design Team at Jabra located in Ballerup, Copenhagen.
