VP of International Sales for Ørgreen Optics


On behalf of Ørgreen Optics we are looking for a people-oriented and commercially driven VP of International Sales. Your finest mission is to establish, oversee and accelerate the team of agents and business of Ørgreen in several international markets. You are navigating easily between different business cultures and have a natural approach in building long term relations with crucial stakeholders within the eyewear industry.

The VP of International Sales will attract, build up and lead the acceleration of an enthusiastic team with common understanding of the Ørgreen Optics values and mindset. By doing that, you will direct an important growth pillar into new as well as existing markets such as Southern Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle East.

This position will report to the Co-Founder and overall sales responsible Gregers Fastrup.


The Position

As VP of International Sales you will be responsible for leading local sales teams to meet and exceed goals. Your essential duties include hiring, supporting, and developing local agents, as well as training them on various techniques that are needed to reach set KPIs. Together with your team, you will be responsible for the buildup and maintenance of new retail branches. More specifically, this implies creating and continuously improving the new market launch approach as well as presiding over the negotiations between Ørgreen Optics and their key accounts.

You will as member of the sales management team be central for Ørgreen’s international expansion. The goal is to ensure the company’s commercial efforts are successful in helping them outperform competition, and you will be in charge of securing that Ørgreen reaches this goal at several markets.

To adapt and facilitate the execution at a local level it is of great importance alternate in between the understanding of the regional landscapes, by analyzing and identifying local trends, customer needs, potential issues, and opportunities.

As VP of International Sales, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop a clearly defined and compelling commercial strategy and challenge/optimize existing go-to-market strategies
  • Build and manage a world-class team of sales agents across the selected regions including team structure, hiring, performance assessment, coaching, and training
  • Creating and achieving sales goals, budgets and KPIs supporting company branding and long-term growth on the respective markets
  • Cultivate an active dialogue with buyers regarding product, brand positioning and develop action-oriented proposals
  • Endorsing, setting, and deploying local benchmarks and best-in-class sales experiences to determine effectiveness of budgets, sales programs and support decision making
  • Develop trusted relationships with business partners and buying teams
  • Participate at international affairs, events, meet-ups etc.
  • Collaborate and work with all members of the team to help create a cohesive business across all channels
  • Being an active and assisting asset as part of the internal design advisory


Your Profile

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree in Business Management or similar, comes with 5+ years of relevant experience and a proven track and network within International Sales from a similar role within the eyewear, optical or optical accessories industry. Through your deep insight and understanding of international business culture and solid communication skills, you are used to move vendors through the sales funnel and take part in complex negotiations and decision-makings.

You are a creative thinker and come with an innovative and disruptive mindset. You can balance a practical approach with a creative business acumen and lead people through complex operations with clear priorities.

Personally, you are energetic, positive, and comes with great social skills. You are driven by ambitions and performance, while having an entrepreneurial attitude and being a strong self-starter. With a thorough and diligence approach, you have an eye for detail and always do your best to serve the interests of your organization and keep pace with the competition in the field. You are commercially driven and with a strong drive, you are eager to make your mark in an interesting company on an ambitious journey.

The Ørgreen Optics HQ is in Copenhagen, however, due to the amount of travelling days, you can be living anywhere in Europe. It is expected that you are of full professional proficiency level in English, any extra language skill is a plus.
