Product Advisor, UK – Contour Design
On behalf on Contour Design, we are looking for an ambitious and result-focused Product Advisor who will get a key role in advising public and private companies in ergonomic products in the United Kingdom.
About Contour Design
Founded in 1995 Contour Designs develops and sells ergonomic computer mouse devices that allow users to work safely on their computers without the risk of pain or strain. Contour, which sells and markets the products in Europe and US is headquartered in Ballerup, Denmark.
Contour has been the market leader in the industry since the launch of their first ergonomic mouse. Their award-winning mouse - RollerMouse Red - is the result of many years of targeted research, development and design. Over the years, Contour has managed to shift the perception of ergonomic mouse devices as a tool for the few, to a tool for anyone who wants to prevent injuries as a result of working in front of the computer. Thus, it is no longer solely a question of symptom treatment, but the desire for greater profits and efficiency in everyday life that drives the investment in ergonomic mouse devices.
Contour also has partnerships with distributors and dealers of ergonomic office equipment in selected countries e.g., Benelux, Germany, France, United Kingdom, and the Nordics.

For our newly created position, we are looking for a Product Advisor who will be responsible for advising public and private companies in our ergonomic product portfolio. At Contour Design, we are passionate about giving our customers a better and more ergonomic everyday life and we need more people to help spread the word. You must therefore ensure that we are the companies' preferred product when it comes to ergonomic computer mice.
At Contour Design, you will work with existing end customers as well as seek out new end customers, here you must spread the message about a better work environment and a slightly better everyday life behind the desk.
You will be responsible for the contact and dissemination to end customers and companies in your area. You must help the Contour user in your area know about Contour and see you as a sparring partner. Your everyday life will to a large extent be characterized by flexibility and you must coordinate and prioritize yourself. There is an expectation that you can contribute with relevant meetings, just as our own marketing department will contribute with leads, as well as our strong network of dealers.
As Product Advisor you will be reporting to the Head of Community & Market Activation and work closely together with local sales staff.
Tasks of your primary work include:
- Product training and presentation for new / existing customers
- Collaboration across the sales team
- Participation in fairs and other activities
- Close collaboration with Sales and Marketing
- Take care and action on leads through resellers and marketing channels as well as generating new leads and contacts yourself
- Activation and support of influencers, influencer networks and their target groups
- Being a strategic contributor to activities such as webinars, and blog development
- Willing to meet the expected travel at approximately 40-50 days a year
The ideal candidate to this position comes with +3 years of industry related business experience. It is a clear advantage if you have experience from a similar role within account management or other relevant sales roles with end-user focus. Having a natural interest in computer devices and the products is also a clear advantage, but not a requirement.
To fulfill this role, you have a proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies together likeminded commercial profiles. You possess strong analytic, communication and interpersonal skills. Most importantly, you are result-oriented, outgoing and a strong networker and collaborator who thrives in a social office environment. Being an inspiring communicator and storyteller, who is audience-minded and can motivate and convince people around you are a must as a big part of the role is related to sales. Together with the team you will fulfill a role in the activation of influencers/ambassadors, networks, and relevant target groups, by being a strategic contributor to activities such as webinars, blog development and relevant channel actions.
