As Senior Product Manager, embedded platforms, you will become a key member of our Software Product Management team, within the GN Audio Product Management group. Here, you will be a champion of world-leading product experiences powered by Firmware solutions that bind Jabra hardware and software together. You will work with world-leading experts in audio, Video, DSP, connectivity as well as our technology and ecosystem partners to bring leading edge technologies and experiences into our products. Aside from working with your team, you will also work closely with various internal functions such as Product Marketing, Marketing, Sales, R&D as well as external software and application partners, key customers and application forums. Moreover, you will define and execute the next generation software-driven Jabra product experiences that will add value to the Jabra portfolio, build brand recognition and attract new users. You will visualize and clarify the opportunities and coordinate all initiatives related to software-enabled experiences with device product management as well as other relevant functions.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Analyze consumers, professional users and customers to understand their behaviors as well as their needs and pains.
- Identify and crystallize the market including competitive trends and technology trends affecting the industry. Hereto, understand how new leading behaviors are adopted.
- Translate the outside-in insights into experience visions and roadmaps and prioritize them into execution.
- Excite internal stakeholders and key external partners, thus act as a product ambassador to build awareness and understanding.
- For agreed solutions, work with relevant internal and external parties to create detailed requirements delivering great user experience. Drive the software and experiences development together with the HW product management team, Jabra R&D and partners.
- Be a key partner of internal and external sell-in of software driven solutions.
The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar, and has 5+ years’ experience in product management. Additionally, it is required that you have a strong track record of working with embedded software solutions with both internal and external partners. If you have a background as a developer and domain knowledge of software solutions, it is a great advantage. Moreover, you possess strong problem solving skills and a ‘can do’ attitude. You hold excellent interpersonal skills and a great sense of structure, as the position includes indirect leadership with the responsibility of driving cross-functional projects in a global company across time-zones. It it thus required that your career proves experience working in one or more international organizations, preferably in the field of consumer electronics. Finally, some travel activity is to be expected and fluent English is a prerequisite, verbal as well as written.
