We are looking for an innovative and openminded Team Lead, Art Direction, who will be responsible for conceptualizing design and communications materials and developing visual and animation concepts to ensure alignment with Milestone’s business, values and marketing strategies, while driving and motivating designers and creatives within Milestone’s Brand Studio department.

You will be part of Milestone’s inhouse agency, Brand Studio, responsible for managing a team of 6 creatives souls – offline, online and video specialists and work closely together with the Content team within the Brand Studio.
One of your key responsibilities will be to and develop the team, ensure that operations and processes run smoothly and that all work is being delivered on time and in line with the global brand. You will moreover implement creative brand experiences, visual styles and images across all relevant touchpoints, along with having an essential say in the development and positioning of Milestone’s brand voice and vision through strategic storytelling and visual branding – both toward partners, customers, and employees.
By ensuring innovative ideas, creativity and execution within the team, you will be the driving force of providing the conceptual idea behind the project and keeping the creative work at the top of its game. This includes e.g., conceptualizing design and communications materials, creating visual and animation concepts for marketing campaigns and brand films, along with defining, evolving and expressing the company’s global brand strategy and experience across all categories and touchpoints.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading a driving the design team ensuring constant development
- Clarifying and applying Milestone’s visual brand tonality to branding campaigns, advertisement, profile materials, SoMe, HQ events, office branding, general employer branding, etc.
- Advancing brand with annual updates to company guidelines for launches, events, campaigns, products, and brand films
- Ensuring further development of the corporate visual identity (CVI) and the creation of comprehensive user guides for global implementation/execution of creative concepts
- Collaborating with colleagues and agencies across the globe to ensure brand compliance and collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to create effective creative and visual marketing material
- Ensuring that the team stays up to date with Milestone’s products, services, target audiences and competitors' activities to ensure that marketing communication is aligned with the overall value proposition
- Conceptualizing and shaping inspiring and persuading content, storyboarding and visual design and lead the creative direction of all kinds of video and film productions
The position is located at Milestone’s Danish HQ in Greater Copenhagen.
You are an extrovert, visionary and experienced creative passionate about crafting world-class ideas and eager to drive flawless visual execution on a global and well-renowned brand, whilst leading and developing a creative team. This with great management skills and flair for conceptualizing creative thoughts that elevate brands into the future and win the hearts and the minds of global target audiences.
Ideally, you come with 10+ years of experience working within film, advertising, marketing or similar from either an agency or international inhouse environment. It is a great advantage if you come with solid people management skills and previously have been leading a creative team, but experience from leading and setting the overall art/creative direction is just as good. You understand technical products and issues and easily translate them into understandable messages and designs – and Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch and InVision are not foreign toolkits to you. If you further have experience with animation and motion design, it is a great plus. It is essential that you come with proven high-level conceptual, visual and creative skills and proficiency in cross-media design, communications and visual storytelling. You are operationally strong, have a strong business acumen and an advanced understanding of marketing and branding. Further, you have a strategic and visual problem-solving mindset and thrive on the art of storytelling, design and in solving complex creative challenges to drive business success.
You hold strong English communication skills, verbally as well as written, and naturally communicate, present and negotiate at all level within and outside the organization.
You thrive setting the overall creative direction, while successfully motivate and collaborate with other creatives and departments. Culture, communication and marketing trends are some of your primarily interests, and while keeping up with the latest trends within the industry, you have a desire to always challenge the status quo to develop, craft and execute inspiring concepts. You are a knack when it comes to determining the tone, mood and colour palettes of global brands, and you naturally inspire and guide the vision of a creative design team.
