Embedded C/C++ Developer for Bang & Olufsen

On behalf of B&O we are looking for a talented Embedded C/C++ Developer who will play a role in developing innovative software solutions for their new Bluetooth audio platform.

Hence, they are now looking for an innovative Embedded C/C++ Developer who will play a part in creating a unique sound experiences through the new Bang & Olufsen platform.


The position
As Embedded C/C++ Developer your most important job will be to help build a cutting-edge Bang & Olufsen on-the-go platform that will power all Bluetooth products, including headphones, earphones and Bluetooth speakers.

Bang & Olufsen are currently laying the foundation for building an impactful new Bluetooth audio platform, utilizing the latest generation powerful ultra-low-power Qualcomm QCC5100 series SoCs which include dual application processors and dual Kalimba DSP’s. To do so, they need people to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve their platform features.  

You will be part of a team where they constantly strive to evolve and improve methods and processes to create the most innovative, adaptable and productive development environment possible creating and enhancing the use of our high-end and luxurious Bluetooth audio products. This role is an opportunity to influence the platform and the new technologies as you will play a role in shaping both the architecture, the tooling and the way of working on the latest quad-core Qualcomm Bluetooth SoC.

In this position you will work on all aspects of the platform – integrating everything from DSP algorithms, product UI/UX features and high-level application code into the interface of the Bang & Olufsen app. Some of the tools used internally as part of the daily work include Slack, Jira, GitHub, Aha, Docker and Python

You will be part of an innovative and informal start-up culture firmly grounded in 90 years of design heritage and on values like honesty, keeping it simple and quality over quantity. The position is based at Bang & Olufsen’s office in Lyngby, North of Copenhagen, where you will join their Audio Platform team of 5+ colleagues and collaborate closely with their app and cloud team on developing end-to-end features of the highest quality and providing the best integrated UX.  

We are looking for people to join our team in both Lyngby and/or Struer.


Your profile
As the ideal candidate you hold a degree in computer science or similar and you come with 3+ years of embedded software development experience. You possess skills within C and C++ development for MCU platforms and you are familiar and have worked with technologies like Bluetooth Low Energy. In addition, you have hands-on experience with common design patterns and multithreaded programming. Familiarity with Qualcomm CSR86xx Bluetooth audio SoC is considered a high plus. Similarly, any experience using continuous integration and automatic testing as well as knowledge of software architectural principles would be an advantage.  

Personally, you are creative, innovative and eager to challenge normal software development practices. You are detail-oriented and proactive by nature, highly skilled and interested in and ready to learn new tools and methods. You are able to think analytically and creatively, and you have strong problem-solving skills, and good organizational and work structuring skills.

In addition, you are organized, and used to agile working, and you are able to navigate in a fast-moving work environment and you find it motivating to work across teams, and you possess strong skills of working efficiently with specialist teams as well as on your own. It is important that you have great communication skills and are fluent in English – oral as well as written.
