Group Market Intelligence Manager for Hempel

Hempel is looking for a strong analytical and ambitious Group Market Intelligence Manager who will be responsible for developing strategy and vision for market intel, insights and analytics – and guide the company on launch excellence, brand positioning and marketing activation development.

The Group Marketing Organization is located at Hempel HQ in Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark.

The position
As Group Market Intelligence Manager, you will build the strategy and vision to utilize intel, insights and analysis in Hempel’s cross-functional marketing initiatives. You will advise on how to grow customer and market initiatives and how to optimize cross-organisational activities – and handle the total delivery through a combination of business and industry insights and data analysis. Your function will be a key enabler for segment and product management, sales, solution and launch excellence, customer care, as well as innovation initiatives and the sustainability agenda etc. You will help translate customer and market insights into actionable opportunities with a potential of increasing company growth and return on investment.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, identifying and analysing relevant market, competitor, customer and communication trends worldwide within the global coatings industry
  • Gathering and employing market intelligence to enhance key strategic initiatives, such as customer experience survey, customer journeys, launch excellence, concept and communications testing, touchpoint analyses, and marketing KPI dashboards
  • Leveraging data and analytics to optimize segmentation and targeting strategies – mining for customer insight from multiple sources to find triggers and barriers
  • Establishing and managing marketing metrics to measure global marketing performance
  • Analysing marketing data and competitive insights to develop benchmarks for key brand marketing metrics
  • Guiding brand positioning, communication and market activation development using generated insights.

You will play a central role in Hempel’s extended emphasis on disciplines such as customer insights, data and analytics, and the use of BI, and you will be responsible for leading and setting the strategy and vision for the global market intelligence team and its performance.

Your profile
As the ideal candidate, you have at least 8 years of relevant experience working with insights and analytics within a similar international, digitally strong B2B environment. In addition, you hold a masters’ degree in a commercial or digital field and are fluent in English – verbally as well as written. You are a digital native and have flair for utilizing digital tools and systems, analysis, BI and data in the development of marketing activation and brand positioning.

As a person, you thrive in an analytical and digital environment, and are both attentive and organized, energetic and positive. You have great passion for the digital landscape and strive for continuous professional development. Accordingly, you are a digital frontrunner and always up to date with the latest trends within business intelligence.
