Head of Marketing Planning & Performance for 3Shape
On behalf of 3Shape, we are seeking a strategic, structured and commercially minded Head of Marketing Planning & Performance to drive global marketing planning, budget governance and performance tracking across the company’s global and regional marketing organisation.
This is a key role at the intersection of marketing strategy, commercial priorities, finance and regional execution, with significant exposure to senior management.
The role offers a unique opportunity to help professionalise and scale the way 3Shape plans, prioritises and measures its global marketing investments. You will play a central role in ensuring that marketing plans, budgets and performance insights are aligned with the overall marketing strategy and translated into clear actions across regions and functions.

The position
As Head of Marketing Planning & Performance, you will be responsible for ensuring that global and regional marketing plans, budgets and performance tracking are aligned with 3Shape’s overall marketing strategy and business priorities. You will lead the annual marketing planning process, support the development of regional roadmaps and coordinate key inputs across Finance, Product Portfolio & Strategy, Commercial and regional marketing teams.
A central part of the role will be to own global marketing budget planning and follow-up. You will support budget allocation decisions, provide recommendations based on regional spend and ROI, and ensure that marketing investments are directed towards the initiatives with the strongest commercial impact. This includes preparing and, at times, presenting material to senior management on plans, priorities, performance and investment needs.
You will also prepare business cases for future resource and activity needs, coordinate content for quarterly business reviews and ensure regular tracking of key performance indicators across global and regional marketing. In close collaboration with the A&O team and regional stakeholders, you will help drive a consistent KPI framework for marketing and support regional adoption over the coming years.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead global and regional marketing planning processes, including annual planning, monthly follow-up and performance governance.
- Own marketing budget planning and follow-up, including allocation recommendations based on spend, ROI insights and commercial growth potential.
- Support regional roadmap development and business case creation, coordinating inputs across Finance, Product Portfolio & Strategy, Commercial and regional marketing teams.
- Track key marketing KPIs together with the A&O team and regional stakeholders, and drive performance reporting to senior management.
- Prepare presentations, decision material and quarterly business review content for senior stakeholders.
- Develop and mature the marketing KPI framework, ensuring structure, transparency and consistent regional adoption across global and regional marketing priorities.
Your profile
We are looking for a structured, commercially minded and performance-driven profile with solid experience from commercial excellence, business planning, performance management, budget governance and stakeholder management in an international organisation. You have experience working across global and regional teams and are used to creating structure, transparency and alignment in complex planning processes.
You have a strong understanding of how marketing contributes to commercial growth and are able to translate strategy, budgets and performance data into clear recommendations. You are comfortable working with financial planning, ROI analysis, KPI frameworks and business cases, and you know how to present complex information in a concise and decision-oriented way to senior stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has experience from a global marketing organisation, commercial excellence, business planning, marketing operations, consulting or a similar role where planning, performance tracking and cross-functional coordination have been central responsibilities. Experience from MedTech, technology, SaaS, healthcare or another international B2B environment is an advantage.
As a person, you are proactive, structured and collaborative. You have strong communication skills, high attention to detail and the ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
